Job summary

DayOne Data Center seeks a senior Fire Protection Engineer to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems across large-scale facilities. You will ensure systems remain compliant with NFPA codes and local regulations, and coordinate with operations and contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Fire Protection Engineering or related field, 5+ years of experience, and CFPS certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in fire protection engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering for large-scale facilities.
CFPS certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression).
Ensure compliance with NFPA, local, national, and international fire safety standards.
Regularly inspect systems and coordinate with external contractors for maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for audits and inspections.
Develop fire safety plans, evacuation procedures, and emergency response protocols.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and testing of all fire systems.
Investigate and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Collaborate with Building Services Manager and operations teams for seamless integration.
Provide training to staff on fire safety practices and emergency procedures.
Respond to alarms and emergencies with technical expertise.
