Job summary

A retail company in Indonesia is seeking a senior professional to lead sourcing and buying of lifestyle and fashion products. This role requires a minimum of 8 years’ experience in retail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage supplier relationships. The successful candidate will drive strategic decisions related to inventory and sales performance. Full-time on-site position available in BSD.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience as a Buyer or Merchandiser in retail, preferably in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle brands.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate prices, costs, quality, inventory, and sales trends.
  • Creative and initiative-driven in selecting and handling seasonal products or brands.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills (Chinese/Korean) preferred.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of buying decisions and lead sourcing strategy independently.

  • Analyze target segments, market trends, and sales data to define sourcing and buying strategy.
  • Ensure incoming products meet quality and quantity standards in coordination with the inbound team.

  • Handle merchandise clearance and slow-moving inventory.
  • Monitor orders, shipments, distribution, and sales reporting with proper documentation.
  • Make strategic merchandise decisions, including product selection, seasonal buying, and budget allocation.
  • Perform other purchasing and merchandising tasks as needed.
