Job Description

Summary:

The Project Manager leads customer-facing Engineer to Order (ETO) projects in the Power Control Business (PCB) organization. The scope includes products from the Medium Voltage Business (MVB), Low Voltage Motor Control Center (LVMCC), along with 3rd party products and services. The PM collaborates with teams such as Commercial Engineering, Application Engineering, Finance, Quality, ISC, GSM, and distribution to ensure a positive customer experience. Using PMI principles, the PM manages project scope, budget, schedule, forecasting, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution, leading the project team by influence and acting as the primary contact for the customer. The goal is to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction while meeting internal metrics like earnings, on-time delivery, and quality.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Manage project responsibilities including customer interface, budget, schedule, contract, and resources planning.
  2. Oversee execution of multiple moderate to large-scale projects within margin and satisfaction targets.
  3. Lead and motivate multidisciplinary technical teams.
  4. Coordinate geographically dispersed teams using collaboration tools and remote management skills.
  5. Communicate effectively with management levels internally and externally.
  6. Understand financial aspects of project management with a technical background in power and control.
  7. Identify and address potential issues early to minimize impact, mitigate risks, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  8. Resolve financial, commercial, technical, and schedule issues, escalating as needed.
  9. Review contracts and project specifications.
  10. Foster teamwork and goal achievement.
  11. Manage emotions and maintain professionalism.
  12. Communicate confidently, listen actively, and engage inclusively.
  13. Engage with stakeholders including customers, engineers, production, vendors, and management.
  14. Take responsibility for project quality, financials, and schedule.
  15. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  16. Serve as a resource for leadership.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or equivalent.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in process automation or application engineering project management.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  4. Electrical automation background with EPC experience, including switchgear, MCC, transformers, UPS, drives, E-house, automation control, PLC programming, and networking.
  5. Experience managing multiple complex customer deliveries simultaneously.
  6. Direct customer contact experience.
  7. Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  8. Experience managing large turnkey projects involving multiple vendors and third-party supply.
