Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd invites an experienced Senior Engineering Manager – Maritime to steer complex marine infrastructure projects across Indonesia from Jakarta-based leadership. You will drive delivery, risk controls, and governance while collaborating with clients, regulators, and global experts.

The role requires a hands-on yet strategic leader with AI-enabled digital engineering and BIM expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Marine, Ocean, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in maritime or marine infrastructure engineering and design.
• Experience delivering ports, jetties, quay walls, breakwaters or similar marine infrastructure.
• International project experience and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer certification is an advantage.
• Interest in AI-forward digital engineering to enhance delivery while maintaining sound professional judgement.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager – Maritime to lead the engineering delivery of complex marine infrastructure projects across Indonesia. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical leader who combines deep engineering expertise with a forward‑thinking mindset, embracing digital innovation, BIM, and responsible AI to improve engineering quality and project delivery.

What will you do

• Lead the engineering design and technical delivery of ports, terminals, coastal, and marine infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design, construction support, and handover.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure design quality, safety, technical excellence, and compliance with Indonesian and international standards.
• Drive design reviews, technical risk management, constructability, and engineering governance across complex projects.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and Haskoning’s global experts to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Support business development, proposals, technical strategy, and the growth of engineering capability within the Maritime team.

Where you will work

You’ll be based in South Jakarta, Indonesia, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Indonesia and Haskoning’s global network. The role includes travel to project sites and client locations across Indonesia as required.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Marine, Ocean, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in maritime or marine infrastructure engineering and design.
• Proven experience delivering projects such as ports, jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, coastal protection, dredging, reclamation, or similar marine infrastructure.
• International project experience and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer certification is an advantage.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with an AI‑forward mindset and the ability to leverage digital engineering, BIM, data, and responsible AI to enhance engineering quality, collaboration, and project delivery while maintaining sound professional engineering judgement.
