Job summary

DayOne Data Centers is seeking a qualified Project Coordination professional to support end-to-end data center construction and fit-out deliveries. You will review complex drawings, supervise multiple trades, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on site.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design consultants, managing documentation, and assisting with commissioning and handover activities to ensure a smooth transition to operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction and fit-out projects, preferably data centers.
• Strong understanding of data center white space design, rack layout, cable trays, containment systems.
• Proficient reading of construction drawings (architectural, structural, MEP).
• Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) is required.

• Review and manage construction documentation including method statements, RFIs, change orders, and as-builts.
• Collaborate with design consultants and internal teams to resolve technical issues and optimize space and cable routing.
• Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with local codes and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and progress reports for internal and client reporting.
• Assist with system commissioning and final handover activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Support the end-to-end delivery of data center construction and fit-out projects, from early works through to final handover.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety rules and ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and records for internal and client reporting.
• Commissioning Support: Assist with system commissioning and final handover activities, ensuring a smooth transition to the operations team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction and fit-out projects, preferably in data centers, telecom rooms, or mission-critical facilities.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data center white space design, rack layout, cable trays, and containment systems.
• Familiarity with MEP systems integration in data halls (power, cooling, fire protection, etc.).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings (architectural, structural, MEP).
• Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) is required.
• BIM/CAD experience is a plus.
