Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Batam seeks a Customer Support Application Engineer to assist customers in product design, resolving technical issues with embedded systems and microcontrollers. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3-5 years of experience and deep understanding of embedded hardware and software debugging. Qualifications

Job description
Overview

As a Customer Support Application Engineer (CAE) you will solve customers hiccups in their product design phases, from feasibility study to issues found in the field, using Infineon Automotive Microcontroller, TRAVEO T2G. You will work as a trusted hands-on technical advisor for customers to use Infineon microcontrollers in automotive industry, such as instrument clusters and automotive body electronics architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Debug customer technical issues on embedded hardware, firmware and software.
  • Provide embedded hardware, firmware design and development services to realize Customer applications using Infineon products.
  • Analyze and debug analog, digital and micro-controller circuits. Write and debug software in C and/or assembler.
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, hardware design, chip design, and software and content development teams
Your Profile
  • Min 3-5 years of working experience in embedded system as a firmware & electronic engineer,
  • Knowledge of microcontroller basic peripherals, e.g. serial communication, ADC, timers, PWM is a must,
  • Ability to read and debug electronics schematics is a must,
  • Ability to implement microcontroller peripherals to realize real-life use cases,
  • Experience in writing and debugging software in C/C++ ARM-cortex or any other high-level languages,
  • Experience in using debug and instrumentation tools like oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator, logic analyzer,
  • Ability to conduct investigative research to identify and resolve technical issues,
  • Interest and ability to learn new technologies very quickly,
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
