Job summary

MadeIndonesia is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to ensure smooth deployment and reliable operation of our software stack. You will automate deployments, manage cloud/server infrastructure, monitor health, and collaborate with development teams to optimize release pipelines.

You will apply configuration management, containerization, and CI/CD best practices while enhancing security and scalability across applications. On-site role in Sleman, Yogyakarta with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong understanding of deployment methodologies and best practices.
• Experience managing server infrastructure, preferably in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Strong English communication skills both written and spoken.

Job description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth deployment and maintenance of our software applications. You will be responsible for implementing efficient deployment processes, managing server infrastructure, and maintaining the overall reliability and performance of our systems.

• Implement and automate deployment processes for our software applications.
• Manage and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish efficient release pipelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintain configuration management tools and practices.
• Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong understanding of deployment in software and web development (e.g., WordPress, NodeJS, React, Laravel) methodologies and best practices.
• Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure, preferably in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Digital Ocean).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to track system health, performance, availability, and identify issues.

Understanding of security best practices, including server security, access control, vulnerability management, and securing deployment pipelines and infrastructure.

• Have a strong understanding of Version Control System and the use of tool (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on-site (WFO) in Sleman, Yogyakarta.
