Job summary

Techconnect.id in Tangerang, Indonesia, is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to lead design, provisioning, and scaling of cloud infrastructure across multiple product lines. This full onsite role sits on a 24-month fixed-term engagement with a vendor.

You will strategize the DevOps roadmap with Engineering leadership, define standards, and own CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC practices. Mentoring mid and junior engineers is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation) and configuration management at scale.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Familiarity with security governance and incident management.

THE ROLE

Senior

• Lead the design, provisioning, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) across multiple product lines.
• Strategize the DevOps roadmap in partnership with Engineering leadership by defining standards, tooling choices, and long-term infrastructure direction.
• Authorize technical decisions on infrastructure architecture, CI/CD pipeline design, and automation frameworks.
• Synergize efforts across development, security, and platform teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable deployments.
• Negotiate trade-offs between reliability, cost, security, and delivery speed, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for critical production issues, driving long-term remediation.
• Enable safe AI-assisted engineering workflows by improving test execution, environment reproducibility, access controls, and documentation.
• Evaluate emerging DevOps tools and platforms; recommend adoption where they meaningfully improve reliability, security, or velocity.
• Formulate and enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery strategies across infrastructure.
• Lead the strategy for infrastructure-as-code governance, versioning, and configuration management.
• Mentor and grow mid and junior engineers through structured feedback, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Plan and control infrastructure delivery milestones, proactively surfacing risks and coordinating resolution across teams.

Mid

• Plan and build CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to support consistent, repeatable deployments.
• Control the quality and reliability of infrastructure changes through thorough testing, monitoring, and adherence to team standards.
• Evaluate and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) for provisioning and configuration management.
• Formulate and document runbooks, monitoring dashboards, and alerting rules aligned with team practices.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, QA, and Security teams to streamline releases and troubleshoot issues.
• Recommend improvements to deployment processes, tooling, or system performance based on day-to-day experience.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, escalating appropriately and documenting learnings.
• Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and runbook improvements, validating changes carefully before use.
• Plan and execute containerization and orchestration tasks (Docker, Kubernetes) under guidance from senior engineers.
• Contribute to security hardening tasks including patching, access reviews, and basic vulnerability remediation.
• Stay current with DevOps trends and evaluate new tools or techniques relevant to the team's work.

Senior

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles, with a demonstrable track record of running production-grade systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including multi-account and multi-region architecture.
• Proven mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) and configuration management at scale.
• Extensive experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo CD, or equivalent).
• Strong command of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
• Deep experience with observability i.e monitoring, logging, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Proven ability to design and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure infrastructure.
• Experience leading security governance: vulnerability management, access control, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and the security considerations around code, logs, secrets, and automation access.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation and tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with incident management, on-call leadership, and post-mortem processes.
• Good communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and spoken.

Mid

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
• Solid proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and core services (compute, networking, storage).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for scripting, debugging, documentation, or workflow automation is an advantage.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, system security, and performance optimization.
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
