About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure & Security) with a strong background in cloud environments, automation, and security best practices. You will be responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and integrating automation where needed.

This role requires a self-driven engineer who thrives on continuous learning and improvement. You will have the autonomy to proactively optimize cloud environments while working alongside development and security teams to ensure scalability and security.

If you excel in cloud management, automation, and security, and are eager to expand into areas like Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and cloud-native security, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Must be able to speak English.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and/or security engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience deploying, managing, and securing cloud services (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, BytePlus, etc).
• Strong understanding of automation, scripting, and cloud security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively enhance cloud infrastructure while collaborating with teams.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in managing cloud services (compute, storage, networking, IAM, security policies).
• Scripting and automation experience (Bash, Python, or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Understanding of system security principles, including:

• Identity and access management (IAM, RBAC).
• Secure API authentication (OAuth, JWT).
• Vulnerability scanning and security monitoring.
• Encryption, data protection, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).

• Experience with Linux-based environments and automating administrative tasks.

Nice to Haves:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, Ansible).
• Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud monitoring & logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Serverless architectures and cloud-based networking concepts.

Soft Skills:

• Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies in cloud, security, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on cloud reliability and security.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for technical discussions and documentation.

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments using best practices.
• Automate routine infrastructure tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Improve CI/CD processes for faster and safer deployments.
• Enhance security configurations to protect cloud-based services.

Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices in access control, networking, and data protection.
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and assist in remediating security risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Continuous Learning & Growth

• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and security trends.
• Gain hands-on experience with IaC, Kubernetes, and monitoring as part of professional development.
• Work with teams to experiment with new automation and security tools.
