Job summary

Grab is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for the Lending Data Engineering team in Jakarta. You will design and manage end-to-end data solutions across acquisition, storage, processing, and consumption using Flink, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and Trino.

You will report to the Data Engineering Manager, with a full-time onsite arrangement in our Jakarta Office. You will build scalable pipelines, implement governance, and ensure high data reliability for key business metrics while collaborating with

Qualifications

6+ years building scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java with strong SQL and data modeling.
Expertise in Flink, Spark, Trino, Airflow, Kafka across SQL/NoSQL/Columnar databases.
Hands-on with AWS services and event-driven architectures (S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Kinesis).
Excellent communication to translate data needs to stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines (batch, real-time, event-driven).
Design data lifecycle frameworks supporting streaming, API-based, serverless, and batch consumption on data lake.
Establish data quality checks and governance using AWS Glue DataBrew.
Monitor and optimize data platform for high availability and low latency.
Collaborate with engineering teams to translate real-time data into business definitions.
