Job summary

Grab is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for the Lending Data Engineering team in Jakarta. You will design and manage end-to-end data solutions across acquisition, storage, processing, and consumption using Flink, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and Trino.

You will report to the Data Engineering Manager and work onsite at the Jakarta Office. You will collaborate with data modelers, product analysts, PMs, and software engineers to deliver scalable, reliable data platforms and drive data-informed

Qualifications

• 6+ years building scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java; strong SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with Flink, Spark, Trino, Airflow, Kafka.
• Hands-on with AWS services (S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Kinesis).
• Experience communicating updates to stakeholders and partners.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines (batch, real-time, event-driven).
• Design data lifecycle frameworks for streaming and batch consumption on data lake.
• Establish data checks, automated cleansing, and governance practices.
• Monitor and optimize data platform to ensure high availability and timely metrics.
• Leverage in-house data tools alongside AWS technologies to streamline pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate real-time data into actionable insights.
