Job summary

GoTo Group is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive credit risk modeling for GoPay and related lending products in Indonesia. You will own the full ML lifecycle, from problem framing to deployment and monitoring, leveraging GoTo and external data to optimize risk decisions.

The role requires 3+ years in building and evaluating credit risk models, strong ML knowledge, and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in science/engineering fields (stats, math, physics, CS).
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Comfortable using Python, SQL, and UNIX Shell.
• Good communication skills with non-technical audiences.
• Self-driven and entrepreneurial with strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle: from concept to deployment and monitoring of credit risk models.
• Lead development of advanced consumer credit risk models to optimize lending decisions.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Set standards for model evaluation and clear documentation for leadership.
