Senior Commissioning Engineer

Lead and supervise the commissioning of plant equipment on client sites.

Oversee the installation process of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly fitted and aligned for optimal performance.

Validate that systems operate at maximum capacity and meet specified performance criteria.

Coordinate closely with the client and internal teams to ensure project alignment and timely handover.

Responsibilities

1. Understanding of the PLC control systems you work with.
2. Suggesting improvements to existing PLC systems and how to smoothly implement these.
3. Reviewing the technical documentation of existing client systems and machinery to understand their functions and purpose.
4. Creating and proposing test procedures that ensure the proper working of equipment and machinery.
5. Providing documentation to inform the suggested test procedures.
6. Supervising and carrying out appropriate testing and commissioning of a client’s systems and equipment.
7. Compiling data from these tests and producing evidence to prove that the equipment passes mandatory assessments and meets regulatory requirements.
8. Troubleshooting any existing problems or limitations of the existing equipment, machinery, and systems that a client has.
9. Working with other engineers or site staff to carry out tests and repairs.
10. Ensuring safe working conditions for everyone involved in the testing and assessment of site machinery and equipment.
11. Providing training for system testing and evaluation where appropriate.
12. Traveling to different client sites for specified periods to oversee commissioning projects.
13. Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
14. Applying analytical and problem-solving skills effectively.

Profile Requirements:

• Minimum S1/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (preferably Electrical).
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects.
• Work and/or living experience in a Western country is highly advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
