tap growth ai is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead designing, migrating, and managing a hybrid cloud environment with a focus on Azure and Linux workloads. You will architect cloud-native solutions, drive end-to-end migration projects, and ensure resilience, security, and automation across on-prem and cloud facilities.

You will implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell, develop DR strategies, and mentor engineers while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders

Qualifications

Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Azure and Linux (RHEL) to lead the design, migration, and management of our hybrid cloud environment. In this role, you will architect cloud-native solutions, drive end-to-end migration projects (on-prem to Azure), and ensure the resilience, security, and automation of critical infrastructure. You will act as the subject-matter expert for Linux workloads on Azure while overseeing integration with existing on-premise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Linux Infrastructure (Primary)

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure including Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, AKS, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, App Services, Docker, Storage, and Networking.
• Serve as the SME for Linux (RHEL) environments across hybrid cloud, handling system administration, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Architect and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Develop and execute migration roadmaps for Linux workloads, assessing cloud readiness and determining the right approach (lift-and-shift, re-platform, or refactor).
• Design robust disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies for mission-critical applications across Azure and on-premise environments.

Hybrid Infrastructure & Integration (Secondary)

• Maintain and integrate on-premise services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO with Azure IaaS/PaaS.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi/vCenter, VSAN) and enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, Pure, Dell).
• Administer backup tools (Veeam, NetBackup) and ensure seamless integration with cloud-native DR solutions.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.

Security & Compliance

• Implement RBAC, identity management, and data protection best practices across Azure and on-prem systems.
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with internal security standards and support vulnerability management and audit readiness.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor junior engineers, oversee IT projects, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders.
• Manage end-to-end obsolescence and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal downtime and risk mitigation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud (Azure): 10+ years of experience in Azure design, implementation, migration, VM management, networking, backup/monitoring, and disaster recovery.
• Linux: 10+ years of hands-on experience managing RHEL (and familiarity with Ubuntu, Fedora, or Debian) in enterprise environments.
• Automation & IaC: Strong proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell; experience with Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines.
• Containers: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, stakeholder communication, and project management abilities.
