A leading coffee retailer in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Senior Barista to oversee coffee bar operations, train staff, and maintain high product quality standards. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience and a strong knowledge of coffee preparation and service. This role involves managing inventory and ensuring customer satisfaction, with the flexibility to work various hours, including weekends.
Oversee the entire coffee bar operation, from preparation and service to maintaining product quality standards
Perform daily calibration of espresso machines and grinders to ensure consistency and taste quality
Carry out basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of coffee machines (backflushing, cleaning, grinder adjustments)
Develop, maintain, and standardize recipes and presentation of coffee and beverage menus
Train, mentor, and supervise baristas in technical skills, service excellence, and operational standards
Ensure the bar area is always clean, well-organized, and compliant with hygiene standards
Manage coffee bean and ingredient inventory, monitor usage, and coordinate purchasing needs
Deliver excellent customer service, handle feedback professionally, and create a welcoming atmosphere
Contribute to menu innovation, coffee concept development, and staying up-to-date with industry trends
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Barista in coffee shop/hospitality
Strong knowledge of coffee, including roasting basics, manual brewing methods, espresso, and latte art
Proven skills in espresso calibration and grinder adjustment to maintain consistency
Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on espresso machines and grinders
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and consistent in execution
Passionate about coffee and eager to grow with the industry
Flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays
