Employment Hero is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and deploy innovative features across our Employment Operating System, including AI hiring tools and automated payroll. You’ll drive critical features with a Ruby-first stack while collaborating with global design, product, and UX teams.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, write tests, and contribute to a remote-first culture that values autonomy, high performance, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Server-side and RESTful API development and integration.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or PHP; Ruby training provided on joining.

Responsibilities

• Drive your squad to develop critical features for our customers.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and UX specialists to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write automated tests for your production codes.
• Developing and maintaining key components of web applications.
• Conduct testing and code reviews for both yourself and your colleagues.
• Mentor the Junior Engineers within your squad.
