Job summary

APP Group in Jakarta seeks an experienced automation engineer to optimize DCS/PLC/QCS systems across high-speed paper machine sections and lead modernization projects. You will diagnose complex control issues and implement reliable solutions to minimize downtime and improve product quality.

You will mentor engineers, develop clear system documentation, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to sustain high performance in a demanding pulp & paper environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering.
10+ years of experience in pulp & paper automation.
Strong expertise in DCS, PLC, QCS and drives.
Experience in high-speed paper machine environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Optimize DCS, PLC, and QCS performance across paper machine sections.
Troubleshoot complex automation and control issues to minimize downtime.
Lead automation upgrade and modernization projects.
Improve OEE, reduce machine breaks, and stabilize quality parameters.
Mentor engineers and ensure proper system documentation.
