About This Role

The Senior Accountant at THIS IS BALI will lead and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial transactions and records. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic financial decisions, maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and ensuring the smooth execution of accounting functions.

As a senior member of the finance team, you will work closely with the Head Accountant and other departments to uphold the company’s high standards of financial management, while also mentoring junior accounting staff and contributing to process improvements that support business growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Record all financial transactions, including sales, expenses, payroll, and invoices, in the company’s accounting system.
2. Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up to date.
3. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all payments and invoices are processed on time.
4. Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
5. Ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations related to payroll, including withholding taxes and social security contributions.
6. Prepare financial reports and analyses to support decision-making within the finance team.
7. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
8. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
9. Ensure that all tax records are accurate and up to date.
10. Work closely with the Head Accountant and other members of the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
11. Provide support for financial audits and assist in preparing for audits as needed.
12. Create efficient and traceable processes that allow for smooth operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
9. Experience with tax preparation and compliance is highly desirable.
10. Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
