Overview

Senior Account Manager (sell CAD CAM CAE PLM software)

Responsibilities
  • Experience in selling engineering software or services (e.g., Catia, UG NX, CAE, Solidworks, AutoDesk, CAD, Teamcenter, etc.).
  • Preferably selling into manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aviation, aerospace, tool & die, tooling industries.
  • Solid understanding of complete sales cycles, from prospecting to closing.
  • Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Develop new accounts, service existing customers; expand product range and usage in the assigned territory with a proactive mindset focused on exceeding sales growth.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers.
  • Able to organize and plan proper scheduling of sales activities.
  • Manage existing customers and prospect for new customers; aggressive mindset with a good track record in selling to engineering and manufacturing markets.
  • Potentially run the business unit along with a team of technical personnel to support sales efforts.
  • Meet sales targets according to the commission plan.
  • Provide monthly MO (Monthly Objective) forecasts and pipeline with rolling 3-month MO reporting at the beginning of each month.
  • Ensure timely and accurate forecasts – monthly and quarterly.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline (sales funnel) size – 3x of target.
  • Timely and accurate submission of reports (e.g., sales activity reports).
  • Execute the objectives of the BFT sales activities to ensure strong sales management.
  • Assist in any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by your superior or management.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in selling engineering software or related services.
  • Industry exposure in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, aviation, aerospace, tooling sectors preferred.
  • Ability to forecast and manage a sales pipeline; track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work with a team of technical personnel.
  • Willingness to manage existing customers and prospect for new business.
  • Willingness to lead or contribute to a business unit alongside a technical team.
  • Ability to plan, forecast, and report accurately on a monthly and quarterly basis.
