Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a senior Security Risk Management (SRM) leader to oversee operations security for critical mining assets in Papua.

The role drives incident reporting, risk assessments, information management, and strategic planning to protect employees, assets, and production continuity. You will direct the Operations Center, coordinate with government security forces, and lead the SRM Quick Reaction Force.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of demonstrated operations management experience.
• Twenty years of working experience in security risk management and training management.
• Bi-lingual Bahasa Indonesia-English is highly valued.
• Experience working as a member of an operations staff.
• Knowledge of Indonesian military doctrine and organization structure.
• Interpersonal and intercultural skills.
• Ability to conduct subject matter and situation briefings.
• Excellent managerial and administrative skills.
• Logistic, cost, and accounting knowledge.
• Radio communication networks (HV, UHF, VHF and SAT).
• Strong people management and collaborative work style.
• Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct the execution of Operations Center functions to maximize risk mitigation and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee high threat areas within designated security zones and coordinate movements and activities.
• Manage staffing, training, and deployment of the SRM Quick Reaction Force across regions.
• Develop and manage all coordinating activities within the Joint Operations Center.
• Oversee contracted private security elements under Area of Operation leadership.
• Act as an extension of the VP-SRM to improve synchronization and communication.
• Ensure risk assessments and mission analyses for SRM planning and government integration.
• Lead long-term planning and publish standard operating procedures and security plans.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness training exercises and response leadership.
• Integrate threat risk assessment into courses of action and contingency plans.
