Job summary

U.S. Embassy Jakarta seeks a security professional to observe, recognize, and report suspicious incidents directed at U.S. Government facilities and personnel.

You will initiate emergency responses and work as part of a tactical security team to safeguard life and property. Qualified candidates must have at least one year of security experience and be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust background clearance.

Job description

Job holder provides security for U.S. personnel and facilities by conducting security monitoring operations as a member of a tactical team of security personnel. This personnel observe, recognize, and report suspicious incidents directed against U.S. Government facilities and/or personnel and initiate emergency responses to possible hostile actions, as necessary, to safeguard life and property.

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Public Trust - Background security clearance.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time [1 month] upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Experience

A minimum of one (1) year of military, policy, or private experience in the field of security required.

Language

English - Limited knowledge in speaking, reading and writing is required.

Bahasa Indonesia - Good working knowledge in speaking, reading and writing is required.

Job Knowledge

Knowledge of security monitoring techniques, familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, awareness of cultural norms and customs is required. The position requires good working knowledge of the host city's geography and general culture.

Must possess a valid basic driver's license. Must be skilled in the use of communications equipment, cameras,and basic information technology systems.
