The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $57304 per year
Schedule: May include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Housing: Eligible for a private 1-bedroom apartment for $352 per month

Responsibilities
- Supervise and advise the shift patrols.
- Assist National Park Service Law Enforcement and/or Fire Control Departments on scene, and follow instructions/directives given by scene commander.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with National Park Service Law Enforcement and Fire Control Departments.
- Resolve situations within your control and within guidelines established by Risk Management, Fire & Security Department, and National Park Service Law Enforcement.
- Respond to security calls.
- Escort Accounting personnel on cash runs and deposit runs, providing security escort service to the Accounting personnel.
- Coordinate the scheduling of the Security Officers.
- Provide training for the security officers as needed
- Adhere to all safety, Risk Management and environmental policies.
- AHMA Lodging and Security Officer Certification must be obtained within thirty days of hire (provided by Xanterra).
- Must obtain BAT and Urinalysis training (provided by Xanterra).
- Ordering and control of Security uniforms and other department supplies.
- Conduct annual performance reviews of employees.
- Develop and maintain a property patrol system.
- Will be required to work variable shifts as assigned by Risk Director/Battalion Chief.
- Coordinate all levels of building/fire/security inspections with appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least twenty-one years of age at time of hire.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and problem solving skills; plus ability to interact effectively with guests, employees and other designated officials.
- Ability to calmly deal with medical, fire, security or safety situations.
- Working knowledge of radio communications.
- Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
