Job summary

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of a client to join an IT solution company with a global footprint. The role focuses on security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and audit support within a dynamic IT environment in Jakarta/Sunter.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and familiarity with security platforms like TrendMicro, Tanium EDR, and Microsoft Sentinel. JLPT is a plus, and local candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or related field with 1–3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, information security, and network security.
• Experience with incident response tools and frameworks; vulnerability management.
• Proficient with security platforms TrendMicro AV, Tanium EDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and M365.
• JLPT is a plus; Japanese language proficiency.
• Male candidates preferred; willing to work in Jakarta/Sunter.

Responsibilities

• Security Infrastructure Monitoring: Verify the functionality of security tools (TrendMicro AV, Tanium EDR, Sentinel SOC alerts, M365) and regularly inspect dashboards, log ingestion, endpoint configurations, and access roles.
• Incident Response & Handling: Contain security threats, collect forensic evidence, perform RCA, coordinate across teams, document incidents, lead lessons-learned sessions, and track remediation actions.
• Vulnerability Management & VAPT: Plan and execute vulnerability scans, validate findings, manage exceptions, and track remediation progress.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Provide requisite evidence and coordinate the execution of audit controls according to customer guidelines.
• Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with end-user helpdesk and IT teams to manage security ticketing systems and maintain updated configuration documentation.
• Security Awareness: Design and set up cybersecurity infographics to foster organizational security awareness.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.

• Technical & Core Skills: Proficiency in cybersecurity, information security, network security, penetration testing, security auditing, and handling incident response tools/frameworks.

• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of security platforms (TrendMicro AV, Tanium EDR, Microsoft Sentinel, M365) and general office tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, Office Suite).

• Soft Skills & Work Ethic: Proactive approach to risk mitigation and vulnerability identification, strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

• Preferred Qualification: Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) certification is an advantage.

• Demographics: Male candidates preferred.

• Willing to work in Jakarta area (Sunter)
