About the job Sales Planner (Manager Level)

The Manager Sales Planning & Execution Excellence is critical in translating organization initiatives into sales and business unit specific strategies to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

The role will support the development of sales strategies that accelerate the success of all annual initiatives. Additionally, this position will work cross functional teams to drive various initiatives. This position serves as a critical member of the annual business planning process.

Business Planning

  • Plays key role in annual business planning by working closely with cross functional teams.
  • Provides leadership and works with finance on best in class sales reporting mechanisms and systems
  • Proactively identifies and implements business-building initiatives that contribute to superior business results
  • Identify business opportunities to increase revenue growth and profits
  • Participates in cross-functional alignment on targeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis

Reports and Analysis

  • Publish weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly sales reports to recap business, communicating successes and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze business performance by category, product, comp/new stores, regions etc. as needed to influence business decisions
  • Collaborate and coordinate planning activities with key stakeholders both internally and externally for responsible business units towards achievement of targets
  • Identify business opportunities to increase revenue growth and profits
  • Experience understanding and developing consumer, retail and competitor trends
