Job Description
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term commercial strategies to drive the growth of the wood coatings business in Indonesia.
- Sales & P&L Management: Accountable for achieving annual sales targets, managing P&L, and delivering top-line objectives. Ensure the successful execution of sales activation programs.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by promoting products and achieving sales objectives within the wood coatings industry.
- Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and marketing teams to develop sales strategies that meet customer needs and align with market trends.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor changing market dynamics, customer requirements, and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales pipeline, target progress, budget achievements, and forecast accuracy. Analyze new business opportunities and provide regular updates to management.
- KPIs & Performance: Take ownership of self-defined KPIs and consistently deliver on sales and profitability goals.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in UV and water-based (WB) coatings, providing both sales and technical support to customers.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the growth of the wood coatings team, and as the role evolves, manage 2 subordinates focused on technical support.
The Successful Applicant
Key Requirements:
- A University degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or Chemistry (preferred).
- At least 8 years of sales/business development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the wood coatings industry.
- Proven experience in UV and Water based coatings sales and technical knowledge.
- Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, with strong influencing skills at all levels.
- A strong sense of urgency and ability to drive business results under pressure.
Preferred Skills:- Ability to develop and drive business-wide processes, ensuring operational excellence.
- Familiarity with furniture industry clients and understanding of their unique requirements.
