The Sales Manager supports the hotel's strategic management by building effective relationships with senior colleagues, including the General Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Finance, and Director of Human Resources. This role provides support and advice on strategic planning, business development, and maintaining brand standards and hotel image.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing sales action plans based on market segments and locations as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Participating in achieving departmental goals aligned with the marketing budget.
  • Monitoring revenue and business production from corporate, FIT, M.I.C.E., and group accounts.
  • Maximizing up-selling opportunities.
  • Assisting in forecasting room revenue and ATR for various market segments.
  • Attending travel functions and promotional events to promote hotel sales.
  • Planning sales trips to major markets and maintaining client relationships.
  • Gathering competitor information and reporting regularly.
  • Maintaining high visibility with key accounts and VIP guests.
  • Conducting hotel inspections and planning follow-up actions.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and internal departments to ensure service quality and event success.
  • Negotiating banquet and outside catering events.
  • Overseeing banquet operations and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Reviewing billing and invoices, obtaining client feedback, and managing account files.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned, including maintaining account management systems and internal/external relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Follow hotel policies, SOPs, and departmental rules.
  • Plan and execute sales calls effectively.
  • Service in-house clients and groups, negotiate rates, and follow up on correspondence.
  • Submit weekly sales plans and reports.
