Key Responsibilities:
• Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
o Set annual, monthly, and weekly sales targets for the sales team.
o Conduct market analysis to identify trends, new opportunities, and threats from competitors.
o Create accurate business plans and sales forecasts.
• Sales Team Management:
o Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve the best performance.
o Conduct periodic individual and team performance evaluations.
o Build strong teamwork and a positive work environment.
o Provide ongoing training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and market understanding.
• Business Development and Customer Relationships:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple segments (e.g., retail, projects, distributors, industrial).
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
o Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
o Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service and in-depth product knowledge.
• Sales Operations:
o Oversee all sales activities from inception to closure.
o Monitor sales processes, identify bottlenecks, and seek solutions.
o Conduct field visits (as needed) to support sales team or build relationships with key customers.
o Prepare and review sales budgets, and ensure spending efficiency.
o Create periodic sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
General Qualifications:
• Male / Female / Min 30-35 Years Old;
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (S1) in a related field such as Business Management, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in sales, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial position (Sales Manager/Supervisor) in the PAINT INDUSTRY.
o Have a proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing business.
o Experience in managing and directing a sales team.
• Industry Knowledge:
o In-depth understanding of the paint market, industry trends, and competitor dynamics.
o Strong technical knowledge of coatings related chemicals such as titanium dioxide, pigments, water-based or solvent-based chemicals.
o Having a database or network with paint/building material distributors, contractors, developers, or architects will be an added advantage.
• Others:
o Have a personal vehicle and willing to travel on business (local or out of town) as needed.
o Neat and professional appearance.
o Foreign language skills (especially English) will be an added value, especially for multinational companies.
This Sales Manager position requires individuals who not only have strong selling skills but also effective leadership and a deep understanding of the paint industry to achieve company goals.
