Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Air Freight Manager - Marketing to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a deep understanding of the air freight co-loading market, particularly in Jakarta, and a strong network with local air freight forwarders and airlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key relationships, ensuring smooth air freight operations across multiple trade lanes, and overseeing the financial and risk management aspects of the department.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all mainstream airlines' local offices in Jakarta and key air freight forwarders to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
- Drive marketing and business development efforts to identify new opportunities within the air freight market, expanding the company’s presence in local and international trade lanes.
- Oversee and ensure smooth air freight operations across various trade lanes. Ensure the efficient execution of shipments, from documentation to final delivery.
- Monitor and manage the P&L for the air freight department. Focus on maintaining profitability while managing risks effectively.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with air freight operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead a team of air freight professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of performance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the air freight division’s performance, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
- 8 years plus working experience in Jakarta air freight co-loading market
- Strong relationship with all main stream airlines' local offices in Jakarta
- Strong connection with local air freight forwarders
- Good knowledge about air freight operation on all trade lanes
- Good sense of P &L management, as well as risk management
- Highly self-motivated, able to work under pressure
- Salary and incentive program is negotiable, no cap will be set
- Fluent in English is a must.
