A leading company in the e-cigarette industry is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee commercial operations in Bandung and drive sales growth for their vape channel. The role demands strong leadership and strategic thinking with responsibilities including achieving sales targets and managing teams. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the vape or FMCG sector, and a solid understanding of the local market.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our commercial operations in Bandung and the surrounding region.
In this role, you will oversee multiple Sales and field teams, manage key distributor and retail partnerships, and drive strategic sales growth for our vape channel business.
This is a full-time, field-based position that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and regular travel within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Target Achievement
Take full responsibility for achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for your region.
Territory & Channel Development
Design, implement, and monitor strategic sales plans across your area to expand market share and brand presence.
Lead territory expansion plans, new channel development, and POS (Point of Sale) network growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key retailers.
Negotiate, review, and optimize business agreements to ensure sustainable growth and profitability for both sides.
Manage, motivate, and develop a team of Sales and their field teams.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and training to drive best-in-class execution on the ground.
Market Insights & Business Planning
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and consumer behavior to adjust strategies proactively.
Collaborate with trade marketing and planning teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields. Strong analytical and numerical skills are required.
Experience:
3–5 years in sales management, preferably in the vape or FMCG industry.
Proven experience managing multi-level sales teams and distributor partnerships.
Core Skills:
B2B and B2C sales experience.
Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.
Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and Business English (Chinese or Sundanese is a strong plus).
Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and handle high-pressure situations.
Solid understanding of Indonesian retail and consumer behavior.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
