Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales leads for export and import freight forwarding services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct client presentations and offer tailored shipping solutions based on customer needs.
- Coordinate with the pricing team to prepare and submit competitive quotations.
- Negotiate with potential customers and close deals effectively.
- Ensure smooth handover to operations and customer service teams after sales are confirmed.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the company.
- Conduct regular client visits and actively participate in networking or industry events.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on sales activities to the Sales Manager.
- Stay updated with shipping trends, freight rates, and export-import regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in export-import or freight forwarding sales (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of Export-Import procedures, INCOTERMS, international shipping documentation.
- Solid understanding of international shipping processes, documents, and trade terms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Target-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team.
- Good networking and connections within the logistics or trading industry in East Java are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email) and preferably familiar with CRM systems.
- Owns a personal vehicle and has a valid driving license (SIM A or C).
- Willing to travel to visit clients, ports, or industrial areas in Surabaya and surrounding regions.
