Job summary

A leading industrial supplier is seeking a Sales Engineer to increase territory sales in Jakarta. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or two years of relevant sales experience, strong analytical and presentation skills, and the ability to foster good relationships with clients. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies and maintaining customer records. The position offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in selling Ingersoll Rand products or related products for at least 2 years.
  • Driver’s license is required.
  • Knowledge of Ingersoll Rand range of products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Increase territory sales and market share in the assigned area.

  • Maintain records of customer correspondence using the systems provided.
  • Analyze and provide timely market information to the Team Leader.

Overview

Increase territory sales and market share in the assigned area and assist in the other areas when required by the Team Leader.

Develop and enhance good working relationships with all key accounts in the area, potential customers, as well as internal colleagues, in order to grow the business in the region.

Maintain to date record of customers’ correspondence and contacts using the systems provided.

Analyze and provide timely, accurate market information to the Team Leader Division, such as pricing situations and status of competitive activities and products, relative to the success of marketing strategies and programs for the territory.

  • To succeed, you will need;
  • A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or have experience in selling Ingersoll Rand products/related products for at least 2 years.
  • Analytical techniques and computer literacy.
  • Good presentation skills and communication skills in Bahasa and able to speak English.
  • Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time-constrained activities, driven by customer requirements.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals of the division
  • Driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the Ingersoll Rand range of products is preferred.
