Job summary

Oriental Sheet Piling, a unit of ArcelorMittal, seeks a Sales Engineer to drive growth in Tangerang. You will identify opportunities in Oil & Gas, EPC, steel manufacturing, and industrial sectors, build strong relationships with end users and contractors, and provide technical and commercial support through the sales cycle.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience in Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Project Sales, or Business Development.
• Experience with Oil & Gas, EPC contractors, steel manufacturers, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of industrial projects, procurement, tenders, and customer requirements.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and business-level English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in Oil & Gas, EPC, steel, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with end users, EPC contractors, fabricators, consultants, distributors, and key industrial customers.
• Develop project pipelines by monitoring upcoming projects, tenders, and market opportunities.
• Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable product and commercial solutions.
• Prepare technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and support tender submission processes.
• Conduct customer visits, project discussions, and technical presentations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contract requirements with customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and customer support.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to business expansion strategies.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Tangerang.

The primary focus of this role is to drive business growth by developing new customers, managing strategic accounts, and expanding market opportunities within the Oil & Gas, EPC, steel, and industrial sectors.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying potential projects, building relationships with end users, EPC contractors, fabricators, consultants, and industrial customers, as well as providing technical and commercial support throughout the sales process.

This role requires strong coordination with internal teams, including engineering, logistics, and finance, to ensure successful project execution, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Project Sales, or Business Development roles.
• Experience working with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, steel manufacturing companies, pipe suppliers, industrial equipment suppliers, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of industrial projects, procurement processes, tendering, and customer requirements.
• Ability to understand engineering specifications, technical drawings, product standards, and project documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience managing B2B customers and developing long-term business relationships.
• Existing network with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, fabrication companies, steel companies, or industrial clients will be highly advantageous.
• Target-oriented mindset with proven ability to achieve sales objectives.
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and business-level English, both written and spoken.
• Possess a valid Indonesian driver's license (SIM A).
• Willing to travel extensively across Indonesia for customer visits, project meetings, and business development activities.
