A leading Electrical Technology Partner in Indonesia seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales in the Oil & Gas sector. With a focus on switchgear systems, this role demands expertise in electrical distribution, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will engage with key industry players, ensuring the provision of high-quality solutions tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales.
  • Experience with LV/MV switchgear or power distribution equipment.
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and ATEX/IECEx compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with major Oil & Gas companies.
  • Manage after-sales support and lifecycle of switchgear systems.
  • Travel regionally or internationally as required for client engagements.

Job description

Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems and switchgear.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and specifications.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of IEC/ANSI standards, switchgear specifications, and Oil & Gas project cycles.

Proven track record of sales success in the Oil & Gas industry or industrial project-based environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably with LV/MV switchgear or power distribution equipment.

Experience working with major Oil & Gas companies or EPC contractors (e.g., Aramco, ADNOC, Schlumberger, etc.).

Experience with after-sales support and lifecycle management of switchgear systems.

Familiarity with hazardous area classifications and ATEX/IECEx compliance.

Familiarity with procurement processes in EPCs and major Oil & Gas operators.

Willingness to travel as required (regionally or internationally).
