Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead our sales operations across the Water and Oil & Gas sectors in Indonesia. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and developing high-performing sales teams. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, a strong network, and a proven record in managing complex sales cycles within infrastructure, utilities, and energy markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership
  2. Define and execute a unified go-to-market strategy for both the Water and Oil & Gas verticals.
  3. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  4. Develop and manage the annual sales budget, forecasts, and KPIs.
  5. Build, lead, and mentor a team of Sales Managers, Key Account Executives, and Business Development personnel across sectors.
  6. Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and incentive programs to drive results.
  7. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  8. Client & Stakeholder Management
  9. Strengthen relationships with key customers, including PDAMs, EPCs, consultants, oil & gas operators (e.g., Pertamina, SKK Migas, IOCs).
  10. Engage directly in strategic deals and negotiations with high-value customers and partners.
  11. Act as the executive sponsor for critical accounts and major projects.
  12. Oversee end-to-end sales processes: lead generation, tendering, pricing, contract negotiation, and closing.
  13. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, certifications, and company policies.
  14. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  2. 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the valve manufacturing, fluid control, or industrial equipment sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  3. Strong knowledge of water infrastructure and oil & gas (upstream/midstream/downstream) market segments in Indonesia.
  4. Demonstrated success in managing large sales teams and multimillion-dollar sales pipelines.
  5. In-depth understanding of standards and requirements such as API, ASME, ISO, AWWA, and SKK Migas procurement protocols.
  6. Proven ability to build C-level relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  7. Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  8. Previous experience with multinational valve OEMs or EPCs.
  9. Strong network with government bodies, utilities, and oil & gas operators in Southeast Asia.
  10. Familiarity with digital CRM tools and data-driven sales management.
