We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead our sales operations across the Water and Oil & Gas sectors in Indonesia. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and developing high-performing sales teams. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, a strong network, and a proven record in managing complex sales cycles within infrastructure, utilities, and energy markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute a unified go-to-market strategy for both the Water and Oil & Gas verticals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and manage the annual sales budget, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of Sales Managers, Key Account Executives, and Business Development personnel across sectors.
- Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and incentive programs to drive results.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Strengthen relationships with key customers, including PDAMs, EPCs, consultants, oil & gas operators (e.g., Pertamina, SKK Migas, IOCs).
- Engage directly in strategic deals and negotiations with high-value customers and partners.
- Act as the executive sponsor for critical accounts and major projects.
- Oversee end-to-end sales processes: lead generation, tendering, pricing, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, certifications, and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the valve manufacturing, fluid control, or industrial equipment sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of water infrastructure and oil & gas (upstream/midstream/downstream) market segments in Indonesia.
- Demonstrated success in managing large sales teams and multimillion-dollar sales pipelines.
- In-depth understanding of standards and requirements such as API, ASME, ISO, AWWA, and SKK Migas procurement protocols.
- Proven ability to build C-level relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Previous experience with multinational valve OEMs or EPCs.
- Strong network with government bodies, utilities, and oil & gas operators in Southeast Asia.
- Familiarity with digital CRM tools and data-driven sales management.
