Get to Know the Role

We are seeking a Safety & Quality Manager to lead strategic initiatives on behavioral risk, safety innovations, and standard enforcement. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing complex projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and driving experimental programs. You will play a key role in shaping safety and quality at Grab, reporting to the Head of Safety & Quality, based onsite in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Lead the planning and execution of experimental and behavioral risk projects.
• Design programs applying human behavior frameworks and risk mitigation insights.
• Manage cross-functional projects that combine innovation with operational excellence.
• Monitor progress and impact using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external institutions, and government or NGO partners.
• Identify opportunities to scale successful pilots into sustainable, cross-market programs.
• Communicate progress and risks to senior leadership regularly.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Demonstrate Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility.
• Have 6+ years of experience in project management, experimentation, or behavioral/scientific programs.
• Experience in consulting or a fast-paced, client-focused environment is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and execute cross-functional projects.
• Strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
• Curiosity and ability to apply behavioral science, psychology, risk, or compliance frameworks.
• Comfort with data-driven decision-making and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Openness to collaborating with external institutions (e.g., government, academic partners).
