Position
Safety Officer
Job Description
- Acting in accordance with the policies, philosophy, principles, customer\'s code of conduct & their confidentiality agreements, and company rules.
- Agreeing to take over other reasonable, special duties & responsibilities that is corresponding to the employee\'s abilities according to the instructions and requests of the management and/or supervisors.
- Implement and support daily safety activities to ensure all operations are carried out safely, in compliance with regulations. Includes safety patrols, hazard identification, unsafe act/condition reporting, and follow-ups.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections, support internal and external audits (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, compliance). Includes reporting findings and recommending countermeasures.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, such as reports, presentations, risk assessments (HIRADC/JSA), and administrative files (data entry, records, etc).
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, briefings, inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Manage PPE and hazardous materials, including PPE stock control and reporting, as well as safe handling and storage of hazardous and toxic waste.
- Monitor contractors/vendors and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Includes work permits, contractor documentation, and field follow-up.
Requirements
- Minimum associate’s degree or Diploma from a Vocational/Technical School in one of the following fields, Occupational Health and Safety (K3), Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome, provided they hold a valid Fire Bridge Class A certificate (Mandatory).
- Must hold a valid Fire Bridge Class A certificate (Non-negotiable).
- Additional certifications such as AK3 Umum (AK3U) or AK3 Kimia (Chemical) are an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of safety regulations, procedures, and standards.
- Fluent in English (both oral and written).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
