About the role

As the Safety Lead you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees. This full-time position is located in West Corner of Banten Province and is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing our comprehensive safety management system across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and regularly reviewing safety policies, procedures and work instructions to maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate potential hazards
  • Delivering safety training and toolbox talks to educate and empower our workforce
  • Investigating and reporting on incidents, near-misses and hazards, and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with supervisors and managers to ensure safety is a top priority across all business functions
  • Monitoring and auditing safety performance, and providing regular reports to senior management
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging safety trends

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications: Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a safety leadership role within steel manufacturing or heavy industry sectors
  • Technical skills: Proficient in critical elements of safety, throughout the workplace including risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety data analysis
  • Personal attributes: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
