Job summary

RINA is offering a 12-month Graduate Trainee program in Batam, Indonesia, aimed at developing the next generation of Marine Surveyors. Trainees will rotate across RINA Marine South Asia Pacific offices, gaining hands-on survey and plan approval experience while reporting to the Batam Marine Office.

Upon completion, progression to Junior Marine Surveyor is expected within the Indonesia team. The program provides mentorship, access to a broad range of vessels and international clients, and a clear

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Engineering.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel and relocate for rotational assignments.
• Open to Indonesian only.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge in classification rules, maritime conventions, and best practices.
• Surveying using various instruments and techniques through hands-on training.
• Assist in conducting surveys and inspections of vessels for classification and statutory compliance under supervision.
• Review technical documentation related to hull, machinery, safety systems, and equipment.
• Draft preliminary survey reports and maintain accurate records under guidance.
• Collaborate with technical teams across offices and participate in client interactions.
