About the team

Amartha is actively expanding its digital risk management team as part of our strategic commitment to digital transformation in 2025. We aim to enhance our capabilities in managing digital lending risks to support the growth of our digital financial product portfolio. To that end, we are seeking a highly skilled Risk Modelling Analyst to join our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting risk management strategies for our digital lending platforms by developing robust forecasting models. The ideal candidate will contribute to ensuring that we continue delivering secure, data-driven, and effective financial solutions to our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and validate statistical models to forecast credit risk, default probabilities, and other key risk metrics for digital lending products.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify risk patterns and trends; extract, transform, and engineer features to enhance model performance.
  • Continuously monitor the credit performance of lending portfolios and identify emerging risks using predictive analytics and model-driven insights.
  • Conduct back-testing and validation of risk models to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Perform scenario analyses to evaluate the potential impact of macroeconomic and portfolio-specific factors on credit risk.
  • Work closely with Product, Data, Technology, and Risk Strategy teams to ensure models are effectively integrated into digital lending platforms and decision engines.
  • Support regulatory reporting and audits by ensuring risk models meet internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive model documentation, including methodologies, assumptions, and limitations; prepare clear reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, modeling techniques, and regulatory changes to continually enhance risk modeling frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to model governance frameworks, including version control, change management, and risk control processes.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in risk modeling, credit analytics, or a similar quantitative risk role.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques (e.g., logistic regression, random forest, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of credit risk principles, including PD/LGD modeling (IFRS9, PSAK71), and portfolio risk management.
  • Ability to design, validate, and optimize models based on business goals and risk appetite.
  • Have analytical skills (moderate to advanced level using SQL) especially on forecast analysis, risk performance.
  • Experience in digital lending, consumer finance, or fintech risk environments is highly desirable.
  • Python skill is required.
  • Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
