Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a senior localization professional for an hourly, fully remote contractor role to review AI-generated responses and generate language content. You will evaluate reasoning quality, provide expert feedback, and ensure outputs are accurate, clear, and well explained to meet high standards.

Responsibilities include assessing solutions for accuracy, fact-checking information, and applying MQM/LQA concepts to maintain consistent quality across translations and prompts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, or related field.
• Native or near-native Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency with China locale conventions.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency for reading and writing prompts and evaluations.
• 5+ years of professional localization/translation experience.
• Experience applying MQM/LQA concepts to quality decisions.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and QA workflows and structured guidelines.
• Excellent editorial judgment with attention to detail.
• Ability to fact-check localized content using reliable sources.
• Experience in hourly contractor roles and time-zone responsiveness.
• Experience with AI data training / annotation / evaluation preferred.
