Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Godot Game Developer for a contract position. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced gameplay systems using Godot, with collaboration on scenes, visual scripting, and asset integration.

You will provide documentation and feedback on development processes, conduct code reviews, and mentor the team to improve code quality and project maintenance. Strong playtesting and clear written communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in game development across AAA, indie, solo, or hobby contexts.
• A portfolio or verifiable published work (e.g., itch.io, Steam, GitHub, game jams).
• Proficiency with at least one major engine (Unity, Godot, Unreal).
• Comfort with scripting languages: C#, GDScript, C++, or Blueprints.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve gameplay issues via iterative playtesting.
• Strong written communication for task instructions & acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced gameplay systems, mechanics, and features using Godot engine.
• Collaborate on scene creation, visual scripting, and asset integration for interactive content.
• Provide in-depth documentation and regular written feedback on development processes.
• Deliver comprehensive code reviews and mentorship to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges, optimizing performance and UX.
