Job summary

Hilton Bali Resort is seeking a highly motivated Remote Geologist to join our exploration team. You will work from within Indonesia, analyzing data to identify hydrocarbon-bearing formations and provide geological insights for exploration strategies.

This role offers remote work with flexible balance while impacting upstream operations. Collaborate virtually with geoscientists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers and contribute to prospect generation and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related earth science; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in exploration geology, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proficiency in geological interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex geological challenges.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic data, well logs, core samples to define subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
• Identify and evaluate drilling prospects, providing geological assessments and risk analysis.
• Develop and maintain geological models for exploration and appraisal projects.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using virtual tools.
• Stay updated on geological concepts, technologies and industry trends.
• Contribute to technical proposals and reports for new exploration acreage.
