Manager, Reliability

Report to: Head, Engineering & Maintenance
JOB PURPOSE:
Integrate and synergize all functions within the reliability section to increase machine efficiency, reduce unplanned maintenance downtime, and control maintenance costs by implementing advanced maintenance systems for PDM, hydraulic, pneumatic, roll, motor, and crane systems to ensure maintenance reliability and production continuity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Financial
- Control maintenance costs by maximizing spare part lifespan through predictive maintenance, modifications, spare part substitution, and self-manufacturing.
- KPI Themes: Operational cost as per target/plan.
- Operational
- Establish procedures and standards for the maintenance reliability system.
- Ensure planning for equipment testing & calibration, modifications & installations, equipment trials for modifications, and availability of all spare machinery, materials, and manpower to ensure reliable equipment operation.
- Monitor and ensure excellent maintenance performance to support machine operability and achieve efficiency targets.
- Monitor downtime due to equipment malfunctions; identify issues, research solutions, and recommend significant changes to resources, procedures, systems, equipment, or technology.
- Ensure safety procedures are implemented in all relevant work areas.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, or contractors for equipment servicing and new technology introduction.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the team of supervisors to achieve performance targets.
- Contribute to strategic planning at the division level.

- Schedule maintenance activities effectively.
- Implement company policies related to sustainability compliance and management systems (MBOS, ISO, HSE, 6S, COC, Social & Security).

Technical Skills
- M/C Condition Monitoring System
- Understand procedures and concepts of machine condition monitoring systems (vibration, alignment, balancing); capable of mentoring junior staff to improve their capabilities.
- Roll Monitoring System
- Understand procedures and concepts of roll monitoring systems (grinding, coating, repairing); capable of mentoring junior staff to improve their capabilities.
- Maintenance Planning & Strategy
- Understand procedures and concepts of maintenance planning activities; capable of mentoring junior staff to improve planning capabilities.
- Customer Service
- Understand procedures and concepts of customer service excellence; capable of fulfilling customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- HR Management
- Understand basic HR procedures within the Engineering & Maintenance division in line with APP policies.
