Job description

Position Objetive

We are looking for a regional Web Specialist to lead the performance, optimization, and digital presence of our Cognita international school websites across Asia. This role is central to enhancing discoverability, driving parent engagement, and supporting enrolment growth through effective SEO, digital strategy, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of the international education landscape in Asia, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

Website Creation, Management & Localization

  • Lead thedesign and creationof school websites across Asia, ensuring they are visually engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines and educational values.

  • Manage and maintain existing websites, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and culturally relevant to local audiences.

  • Collaborate with school marketing teams tolocalize messagingand highlight each school’s unique academic and community strengths.

Digital Strategy & Implementation

  • Define and execute integrated digital strategiesthat drive engagement, inquiries, applications, and enrolment.

  • Analyze web traffic, user journeys, and conversion funnels to inform content and UX improvements.

  • Align organic and paid strategies in collaboration with Country Brand Marketing Lead and admissions teams.

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies aligned with prospective parents’ search behavior to enhance organic visibility and search engine rankings.

  • Optimize site structure, metadata, and content for multilingual and region-specific SEO.

  • Monitor SEO performance using tools like Google Search Console and SEMrush.

Digital Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Report from tools, including but not limited to, ie. Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and MS Clarity to generate actionable insights.

  • Monitor and report on digital performance metrics, analyzing data to identify opportunities and areas for improvement from the pipeline stages.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance effectiveness and market positioning for each school.

User Experience & Conversion Optimization

  • Ensure websites are optimized for mobile, speed, accessibility, and usability—especially for prospective parents navigating from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

  • Conduct A/B testing and implement CRO strategies to improve inquiry and application conversion rates.

Compliance & Accessibility

  • Ensure CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) aresecure and the websites comply with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and accessibility standards defined by Cognita to support inclusive digital experiences.

Innovation & Experimentation

  • Pilot new digital tools, platforms, or formats (e.g., chatbots, virtual tours, AI-driven personalization) to enhance user engagement and stay ahead of digital trends.

  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and recommend improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as the regional web lead, working closely with the regional Brand Manager, Country Marketing, Admissions and IT teams across Asia.

Position Requirements

  • Strong understanding of website UI/UX, website user flow, SEO tools, analytics platforms, and CMS systems.

  • Skilled at turning complex data into practical strategies that stakeholders can easily understand and act on.

  • Familiarity with the international school market and parent decision-making behavior in Asia is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience working in a regional or multi-market role across Asia.

  • Knowledge of international SEO, schema markup, and multilingual content strategies.

  • Understanding of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPA) as they relate to web tracking and parent data.

  • Sensitivity to cultural nuances and educational values across Asian markets.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Web Development, or a related field.

  • At least 8 years of experience in web management, SEO, or digital marketing—preferably in education or service industries.
