REGIONAL SERVICE ENGINEER - PLASTICS MACHINERY - ELECTRONICS (MECHATRONICS)

Our client is a European leader in the polyurethane machinery Manufacturer. Headquartered in Germany, they focus on high-tech production lines and provide solutions in the form of automotive components, refrigerated appliances, and advanced machinery for various applications. Currently, they are looking for a highly driven and experienced Service Engineer to assist with their operations throughout Indonesia.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for managing all services activities for polyurethane processing equipment in Indonesia, including installation, commissioning, customer training, repairs, and spare part sales. They will also identify retrofit opportunities and provide technical support to both customers and HQ service teams. The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the following duties and key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the installation and commissioning of polyurethane processing systems at customer locations.
2. Provide comprehensive training to customer personnel on equipment operation and upkeep.
3. Deliver timely repair services, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
4. Drive spare parts sales through technical service visits and proactive customer engagement.
5. Conduct frequent and regular customer visits to boost service sales and build relationships.
6. Determine necessary spare parts needs based on existing installations.
7. Find and develop retrofit opportunities for both company and competitor equipment.
8. Share technical data with the HQ service department.
9. Monitor and manage spare parts and retrofit projects.
10. Perform other duties as needed to support the company’s service strategy.

Qualifications:

1. Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
2. Minimum of 5 years in operating, maintaining, and installing electromechanical equipment and assemblies, preferably in the polyurethane processing.
3. Prior experience in serving or maintaining polyurethane-related machinery is a plus (e.g., foam manufacturing, automotive interior parts, white appliance manufacturing).
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
5. Ability to independently commission large-scale projects.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for both internal and external interactions.
7. Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
9. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
