Job summary

PT Sumberdaya Sewatama ( Part of Tiara Marga Trakindo Group) seeks an experienced genset technician to ensure high performance and reliability of genset units in Jakarta. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs, collaborating with a cross-functional team.

You should have 5–7 years of genset experience, be proficient with Cat ET and diagnostic tools, and be prepared for high-intensity fieldwork in Jakarta. A basic mechanical certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of SMK/ Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment, Mining, or related fields.
• 5–7 years of experience as a genset technician.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, overhaul, and reconditioning of Caterpillar genset engines (3512/3516).
• Familiar with Cat ET or similar diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of genset units and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance work on units and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of units and operational support equipment.
• Carry out repairs on-site as directed by Site Leader.
• Identify operational issues and verify need for spare parts and local materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues across functions and maintain good relationships.
• Implement 5S and EH&S principles in all activities.
• Prepare and report routine operational activities (DAR, DIR, PM checklists).
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert to assist technicians in solving genset issues during maintenance.

Job description

To achieve the highest quality of performance and productivity of genset units and their equipment, as well as to ensure alignment between maintenance execution and Equipment Management strategy and planning.

Key responsibilities

Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of units and their equipment

Perform preventive maintenance work on units and their equipment

Maintain the cleanliness of units and other operational support equipment

Carry out repairs on units and equipment experiencing issues on-site, in accordance with the Site Leader's direction

Identify and verify operational issues on-site that may affect the performance of units and equipment, in order for prompt action to be taken

Assist in providing information regarding the need for spare parts and local materials in the field

Work effectively and collaboratively with direct colleagues and maintain good relationships with others across different functions

Implement 5S principles as well as environmental, health, and safety aspects in every work activity

Prepare and report routine operational activities (DAR, DIR, PM checklists)

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, assisting the technician team in solving technical genset issues during preventive maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, or corrective maintenance

About you

Minimum education of Vocational High School (SMK), Diploma (D3), or bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment, Mining, Light Vehicles, Electrical Engineering, Automotive, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or other relevant fields

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience as a genset technician

Proficient in troubleshooting, overhaul, and reconditioning of components for Caterpillar 3512 or 3516 series genset engines

Familiar with using Cat ET or similar diagnostic software

Ready to work independently as well as within a team

Willing to be mobile and handle high-intensity fieldwork

Holds a basic mechanical course certificate or similar (preferred)
