You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality management systems that support high standards across production and customer satisfaction. Job Description:

As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety in line with global food regulations. You will lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams and coordinate with Production, R&D, and Compliance to ensure all carrageenan products meet both customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and FSSC standards.

Lead and manage QA and QC operations including raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and finished product testing.

Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations.

Plan and lead internal and external audits (e.g., FDA, BRC, ISO, customer audits).

Manage laboratory operations, equipment calibration, and analytical method validation.

Monitor and analyze quality KPIs; drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Review and approve technical documents: COA, product specs, MSDS, SOPs.

Train and develop quality staff on best practices and regulatory changes.

Collaborate with R&D and Production for product improvements and customer-specific requirements.

Handle non-conformances, customer complaints, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in quality management within the food, pharmaceutical, or carrageenan/hydrocolloid industry.

Strong background in food safety systems, lab management, and regulatory compliance.

In-depth knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, BRC, or FSSC standards.

Leadership and team management skills, including experience leading audits and quality teams.

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and techniques for carrageenan or similar products.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS software is a plus).
