Job summary

Tripatra in Duri, Riau, Indonesia is seeking a Quality Controller – Civil, Building and Structure for the Duri office. The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience and a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with strong QC knowledge.

The ideal candidate will perform inspections, verify concrete and earthworks, witness tests, and maintain quality records while coordinating with Contractors and Engineering teams to uphold project standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience, or Diploma (D3) with 8+ years in engineering, fabrication, construction, or QC services.
• 4+ years of QC inspection experience for civil/building/structural works in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Civil Construction, Mining, Geothermal, or Power projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil/structural design, construction, inspection, and QC procedures and testing requirements.
• Training or certifications in civil/building/structural construction or QC from recognized bodies within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections of civil, building, and structural work to ensure conformance with project specs and company requirements.
• Verify construction works including earthworks, foundations, roads, buildings, and other facilities meet standards.
• Witness and validate testing and inspection activities and ensure results meet quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance documents, and timely submission to the company.
• Ensure Contractors follow approved procedures and SOPs and maintain quality records.
• Identify quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution of non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Supervisors, and Company representatives to support QA throughout execution.
• Report to Lead Quality Controller and assist in monitoring quality compliance across activities.

REQUIEREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Bachelor's Degree (D4) in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with at least 6 years of experience, or Diploma (D3) in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in engineering, fabrication, construction, or quality control services.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Control Inspection for civil, building, and structural works on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Civil Construction (Roads/High-rise Buildings/Bridges), Mining, Geothermal, or Power Generation projects.
• Strong knowledge of the design, construction, inspection, and quality control of civil and structural works, including earthworks, soil compaction, concrete foundations, well pads, roads and pavements, concrete-lined pits, buildings, shelters, platforms, stairs, and other structural facilities.
• Familiar with applicable construction codes, quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing requirements for civil and structural works.
• Holds valid training or professional certifications issued within the last 5 years in civil, building, structural construction, or quality inspection from recognized authorities or professional organizations.
• Strong analytical, communication, reporting, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with Contractors, Engineering, and Construction teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quality inspections and monitor civil, building, and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and Company requirements.
• Verify the quality of construction works, including earthworks, soil compaction, concrete foundations, well pads, roads and pavements, concrete-lined pits, buildings, shelters, platforms, stairs, and other civil and structural facilities.
• Witness and validate construction testing and inspection activities, ensuring all results meet project quality requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance documentation, and submit them to the Company in a timely manner.
• Ensure Construction Contractors perform work in accordance with approved procedures, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Identify quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on the resolution of non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Construction Supervisors, and Company representatives to support quality assurance throughout project execution.
• Report to and support the Lead Quality Controller in monitoring and maintaining quality compliance across construction activities.
