Job summary

Baker Hughes in Batam is seeking a Quality Control Inspector/Operator-Expert to oversee final product quality and ensure adherence to specifications. You will review drawings, perform dimensional and hardness tests, and document results.

The role requires a technical diploma and hands-on inspection experience in manufacturing, plus familiarity with GMP/HSE practices. You will maintain records, report NCRs, calibrate gauges, and contribute to continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical high school with 3 years' experience.
• Experience in inspection and measurement of component parts in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings; familiarity with measurement tools and gauges.
• Ability to perform detailed dimensional inspection of component parts.
• Ability to perform hardness testing and report verification; phosphate visual inspection.
• Knowledge to verify hydro test parameters and report validation.
• Ability to perform test and assembly inspection.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and HSE awareness.

Responsibilities

• Routing package review (Spec, Drawing, Picklist, Document Revision).
• Provide dimensional, COC, inspection report and traceability record in MO package.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection activities.
• Verify gauges and tool calibration; validate reports from outsource process.
• Perform inspection per work order (Dimensional, Hardness, Phosphating, Test and Assembly).
• Record inspection results accurately and raise NCR for non-conforming items.
• Maintain inspection records complete, accurate, and retained per QMS requirements.
• Participate in Quality & HSE program and contribute to Quality/HSE culture at Batam site.
